Learning to honour the season you are in.
In a world that would have you ALWAYS be so outward facing… Can you learn to honour the “Season” you are in? Which is the true way of the feminine. Read on…
There are times in our lives when tragedy happens. When we lose a loved one or a relationship ends. Or we find ourselves in a period of deep transition where life calls for a complete 360 and a deep trust that it is all happening for our highest good.
This change (however it looks) can feel scary and can throw the body into complete disarray.
Change can throw us into complete disarray.
You may feel yourself contract. To pull in. To go into an inner “winter”. Not feeling inspired or wanting to be seen.
And this is where cyclical living goes beyond our cyclical month and into the broader cyclicality of our lives and begs the questions:
Can you allow that to be ok?
Can you honour the season you are in?
These past 6 weeks I’ve been in “winter”.
Despite the soaring spanish temperatures, these past 6 weeks I’ve been in “winter” and by that I mean an inner winter.
I tragically lost a beloved pet. Pieces of my life felt unclear. A new job in a completely different place was presented to me. And the wings of change and uncertainty swirled vigorously around me.
The turmoil of this change felt constricting on my body. My usual creativity felt blocked. I didn’t want to show up online or to share or be seen.
Our hyper masculine world would call us to “push through”.
It’s at times like these our hyper masculine world (and masculine business world) would call us to push through. To keep going. To continue to show up… no matter what the cost to our body and sanity.
But this is not the way of the feminine or of feminine business.
But this is not the way of the feminine.
The feminine understands the cyclicality of life and understands the needs of the body. She knows that after a period of contraction comes expansion. That after Winter comes Spring.
In the past 6 weeks, I could have pushed through. I could have forced myself to show up and take action but I didn’t. Instead, I honoured my body, my process, my inner winter to reap the rewards of my honouring the season I am in and my cyclical nature.
If you find yourself in a season of change…
If you find yourself in a season of change right now and are feeling this contraction energy, the desire to withdraw and to be in “Winter”… Firstly…
Can you allow that to be ok?
Can you honour the season you are in?
And if you desire deeper support around this season of change, are feeling stuck, confused, frustrated and would love to be held into a space of deep clarity and clear direction. This is the work I love to support women with in my container ‘Deep Clarity’.
